Stephen Huffman is a partner with HCM Governmental Relations. Prior to joining HCM Governmental Relations Stephen served as Chief of Staff to Lt. Governor Steve Pence and the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet of Kentucky. During his tenure as Chief of Staff, he oversaw the Department of Corrections, Homeland Security, Juvenile Justice, and the Kentucky State Police. Coordinated and advised legislative, personnel, and policy matters for the Justice Cabinet and its 8000 employees. Stephen also coordinated legislative and policy matters with the congressional delegation, state lawmakers, and the Office of National Drug Control Policy.
Stephen is a member of the Republican Party of Kentucky Executive Committee and is serving his second Gubernatorial appointed term as one of three republicans on the State Board of Elections. Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes appointed Stephen to the Election Integrity Task Force, a group charged to protect the integrity of the Commonwealth’s elections and combat voter fraud. Lexington Mayor Jim Gray appointed Stephen to the Rupp Arena, Arts and Entertainment Task Force.
